Site audit
Finds what keeps ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews from using your pages, and checks again after you fix it.
Site audit reads your site once a week. It flags a page only when an engine's own documentation, or a published measurement, says the problem keeps pages out of AI answers. It gives no score.
What it reads
- Every page in your sitemaps for the project's market, the pages AI answers used in the last 30 days, and your homepage.
- Up to 1,000 pages per audit. On a larger site, small sections are read whole and large ones are sampled. A sample keeps the same pages every audit, so the next audit reads the page you fixed again. Pages AI answers used are always read.
- With Search Console connected, Google's index status for each page it reads.
How it reads
- It sends the user agent
SearchD/1.0 (+https://searchd.ai)and follows your robots.txt: thesearchdgroup if you have one, otherwise*. - It reads one page at a time, 1.5 seconds apart, and slows down when your server answers 429 or 503.
- If your bot protection stops it, the audit says so instead of reporting the pages as fine. To let it through, allow the user agent above.
When
- The first audit starts when you create a project, then once a week. A project owner can run it again at any time.
- A problem counts as fixed only when the same page, read again, no longer has it.
